THIS IS ALSO A UNION PLANT.
PAYS:$34.38 HOURLY
Shift differential of an additional $.75 – 3pm-11pm & $1.50 – 11pm-7am
Industrial Maintenance Technician
Position Summary
The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial production and processing equipment in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
This position serves as a first responder to production line breakdowns and requires strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting skills to minimize downtime and maintain equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventive and proactive maintenance to prevent equipment breakdowns.

Respond immediately to production line stoppages and equipment failures.

Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment issues.

Perform root cause analysis on equipment failures and recurring downtime.

Repair, maintain, assemble, disassemble, and replace components on industrial production equipment.

Diagnose equipment problems using voltmeters and other electrical testing devices.

Analyze machine error messages, test results, and operator feedback to identify equipment failures.

Test repaired machinery to verify proper operation.

Inspect production equipment for operational and safety compliance.

Install and maintain production equipment, tools, and utility systems.

Complete maintenance work orders and documentation in the CMMS.

Work closely with Production and other departments to minimize manufacturing downtime.

Support all food safety, food quality, and facility compliance programs.
Qualifications
-
3+ years of industrial manufacturing maintenance experience required.

Strong electrical/electronic troubleshooting and repair skills required.

Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience.
-
Experience maintaining industrial production or processing machinery.

Preventive maintenance and equipment reliability experience.
-
Ability to troubleshoot using voltmeters and electrical diagnostic equipment.

Experience working with a CMMS preferred.

Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, operating instructions, and safety procedures.

Basic Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel skills.

Ability to work flexible hours when required.

Candidates must successfully complete a Mechanical/Electrical Skills and Aptitude Assessment to be considered.
Physical Requirements

Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 100 lbs.

Ability to push or pull up to 25 lbs.
-
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on concrete surfaces.
-
Must be able to repeatedly kneel, bend, crouch, reach, climb, and stoop throughout the shift.

Successful completion of required post-offer drug screening and background check.
