This is a union facility so the wage progression gives an employee a $.50 increase every 6 mos and a 2% annual increase.

Quality Control Inspector – start time – 6 am
Reports To: Quality Manager     Department: Quality Assurance

Summary
Responsible for: Performing various inspection and calibration functions including, but not limited to, receiving, first article and final inspections and part layout.  Investigates and documents product non-conformance.  Assists in the resolution of quality related issues.

Qualifications
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.  2-4 years dimensional inspection experience or equivalent combination of education. Previous experience in working with machined or stamped parts and experience with composite material would be helpful.

Required Skills:
Language skills – ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or company employees.

Mathematical skills – ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to calculate SPC specs.

Reasoning ability – ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exits.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.  The employee is required to sit frequently.  The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.

The employee must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. 

Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.  Must pass vision exam (corrective lenses okay).
