Job Description: Maintenance Mechanic – City of Industry, CA

3rd shift 9PM- 5:30AM days off Wednesday & Thursday
Food Manufacturing Plant need someone with food manufacturing experience.
Refrigerated/ Freezer enviornment must be good working in cold enviornment
Pay: Up to $42/hr depending on experience & skill level

POSITION SUMMARY:

Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as fillers, casers, pumps, conveyor systems, processors and other production by performing the following duties:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform preventive maintenance tasks

Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic/hydraulic problems on all plant equipment

Complete work orders in a timely manner to highest quality standards

Daily scanning of all work performed and downloading at the end of the day

Troubleshoot equipment problems accurately and efficiently

Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments

Maintain complete personal tool inventory necessary to perform job functions

KNOWLEDGE OF SKILL IN:

Qualified candidates will have good oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with key coworkers, including department managers, line operators, quality assurance personnel and contractors.

Company policies, standards and specifications

Safety Policies and procedures for equipment operation

Basic use of a Volt-Ohm meter

Basic motor control circuits

Apply basic T.I.G. welding on stainless steel

Competent with arc and gas welding, brazing and soldering

Set up and operate lathe, mill, drill press and grinders

Basic refrigeration preferred

ABILITY TO:

Read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics and manuals

Maintain excellent attendance

Work with minimal supervision

Safely maintain and repair all plant equipment

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

High School Education

Trade School/College Courses that applies to position

3-5 Years' experience in manufacturing or equal experience in a related position

PHYSICAL STANDARDS

Ability to withstand prolonged walking and standing

Able to withstand changes in Temperature from -20 deg F up to 140 deg F
