PAYS: $80K-$85K SALARY
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Plant Manager to support daily manufacturing operations in a fast-paced processing environment. This role will assist with overseeing production, maintenance, safety, quality, inventory control, and employee development while helping drive operational efficiency and plant performance.
Responsibilities
- Assist in leading daily plant operations and supervising production teams.
- Support production scheduling to meet customer demands and delivery requirements.
- Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Coordinate with maintenance, suppliers, and customers as needed.
- Monitor inventory accuracy and ensure FIFO practices are followed.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards.
- Train, coach, and develop employees while supporting cross-training initiatives.
- Maintain SOPs, production records, and operational reports.
- Serve as the primary operational leader in the absence of the Plant Manager.
Qualifications
- Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong background in production, operations, or plant management.
- Experience with production planning, scheduling, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
- Experience in food processing, pet food, meat processing, or related manufacturing industries is a plus.
