LARGE MANUFACTURING PLANT IN AURORA CO IS LOOKING FOR STRONG MAINTENANCE MANAGER. LOOKING FOR SOMEONE OUT OF THE FOOD MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY. LOOKING FOR A STRONG LEADER WITH A PROVEN TRACK RECORD OF MAKING IMPROVEMENTS IN THE MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT AND SOMEONE WHO CAN BE HANDS ON AS WELL.
SALARY RATE: $90K-$110K
SHIFT: 6AM-4PM
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accountable for overall reliability and availability of equipment and control of maintenance labor and expense budget within the plant.
- Manages and coordinates activities of employees engaged in setting up, installing, repairing, maintaining equipment, and in fabricating metal parts and tools.
- Manages maintenance technician activities such as repairs, installation of all components of machinery, and facility structures.
- Complies with company standards and procedures ensuring safe quality food is produced, within a sanitary environment, and established time schedule.
- Manage maintenance supervisors and overall maintenance projects.
- Perform and assist with equipment rebuilds including set up and adjust production equipment.
- Source and order all MRO parts and supplies.
- Provide equipment and maintenance process input and direction in production processes.
- Establish schedule and process for providing facility maintenance services.
- Review available resources and meet with plant management team to allocate resources accordingly.
- Participate in the maintenance development of goals and objectives as well as policies and procedures.
- Assess and recommend changes and improvements to existing standards, policies and procedures related to maintenance department including equipment
- Ensure all sensitive repairs and modifications of equipment are completed in time to keep production running.
- Monitor work order control, supplies and equipment and prepare documents for equipment procurement.
- Manage contracted projects and service work from outside suppliers.
- Coordinate training in facility maintenance and safety methods, procedures and techniques.
- Develop and organize preventative maintenance and safety inspection programs for all facilities and equipment.
- Responsible for the fiscal performance of the maintenance department.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree preferred, Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- 5 years of experience in maintenance of production equipment
- 1-3 years of supervisory/management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Knowledge of manufacturing operations, services, and activities of a buildings' maintenance and production equipment repair program.
- Ability to work in and around freezers, machining equipment, grinding and production equipment.
- Knowledge of materials, methods, terminology, equipment, and tools used in maintenance and repair of equipment and systems including those used in performing plumbing, heating, electrical, mechanical and painting work.
- Knowledge of pertinent local, state and federal laws, ordinances, codes and rules.
