SALARY RANGE: $70K-$75K
SHIFT: MON-FRI 5AM-230PM/4PM (SOME SATS TOO)
Job Title: Dimensional Quality Inspector
Job Summary
The Dimensional Quality Inspector is responsible for verifying that machined and manufactured parts meet engineering specifications, blueprints, and tolerance requirements. This role ensures product quality and compliance by utilizing precision measurement tools and inspection equipment. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, experience in quality inspection, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and GD&T standards.
Key Responsibilities

Perform dimensional inspections using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and dial indicators

Operate advanced inspection equipment including Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), optical comparators, and 3D scanners

Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) requirements

Conduct First Article, In-Process, and Final Inspections to ensure product compliance

Document inspection results and generate detailed quality reports

Identify and segregate non-conforming materials, initiating corrective actions as needed

Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues

Ensure all inspection tools and equipment are properly calibrated and maintained

Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency
Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience in dimensional inspection within manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or related industries

Proficiency with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)

Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T

Experience with CMM equipment and inspection software preferred

Knowledge of quality control processes and standards

High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills

Effective communication skills with cross-functional teams

Technical diploma, certification, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred

ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or similar certification is a plus
