Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Dallas, TX
Shifts Available:

1st Shift: 4:00 AM – 12:30 PM

2nd Shift: 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM
Pay: $30.00 – $36.00 per hour (based on experience)
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our manufacturing team in Dallas, TX. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining industrial production and facility equipment in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong electro-mechanical skills and experience working with automated production systems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Follow blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings to install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, plumbing, and electrical systems.

Inspect, measure, and test equipment during operation to detect malfunctions, wear, or misalignment.

Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and communicate findings with supervisors and management.

Dismantle defective equipment and install new or repaired parts; reassemble and test machinery.

Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other mechanical components.

Install and repair electrical systems including transformers, wiring, motors, control circuits, and electronic components.
-
Layout, assemble, install, and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems; repair valves, regulators, gauges, and related equipment.

Install, program, and troubleshoot automated machinery including robots and PLC-controlled systems.
-
Operate machine tools such as lathes, grinders, drills, and milling machines to fabricate or repair parts.
Additional Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) functions.

Support production during equipment changeovers and setup.
-
Troubleshoot and repair industrial mixers, blenders, packaging equipment, robotic systems, pumps, valves, and pressure vessels.

Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, USDA, and FDA regulations.

Utilize CMMS systems for work orders and documentation.
-
Follow and enforce safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout, confined space, and PPE requirements.

Participate in safety meetings and ongoing training.
Qualifications
Education
-
High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
-
Technical degree or formal maintenance training (Preferred)
Experience
-
Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing (food manufacturing preferred)

Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience
-
Experience with mechanical systems (gearboxes, bearings, chains, sprockets, motors, seals)

Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
-
Experience with low-voltage control circuits, motor controls, VFDs
-
PLC troubleshooting experience (Rockwell PLC/HMI preferred)
-
Strong hydraulic and pneumatic system knowledge
-
Experience working with automated packaging equipment
Certifications
-
OSHA 40 Certification (Preferred)
