PROJECT MANAGER OPENING IN COMPTON CA. WE ARE LOOKING FOR A STRONG PROJECT MANAGER WHO COMES FROM A MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT. LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH AN ENGINEERING DEGREE AS WELL. MUST HAVE AT LEAST 5 YEARS EXPERIENCE AS WELL.

THIS IS 100% ONSITE ROLE IN THE MANUFACTURING PLANT AS WELL

SALARY: $120K-$150K NO BONUS

Position Overview

We are seeking a results-driven Project Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives from concept through product launch. This role is responsible for full-cycle project execution including planning, stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and New Product Introduction (NPI).

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and can successfully manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining alignment across engineering, operations, and supply chain teams.


Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.

  • Define scope, allocate resources, and monitor project performance.

  • Track milestones and proactively adjust timelines as needed.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams and external partners.

  • Provide regular status updates and ensure alignment with project objectives.

  • Address issues proactively to maintain momentum.

Risk Management

  • Identify project risks early.

  • Develop and execute mitigation strategies.

  • Maintain risk registers and contingency plans.

Team Leadership

  • Coordinate internal departments and third-party vendors.

  • Ensure teams are delivering high-quality results efficiently.

  • Foster accountability and collaboration across functions.

Communication & Reporting

  • Deliver clear, concise updates to senior leadership.

  • Highlight project status, risks, and critical milestones.

  • Simplify complex technical information for diverse audiences.

New Product Introduction (NPI)

  • Lead cross-functional teams through the NPI process.

  • Ensure readiness across design, manufacturing, and supply chain.

  • Support compliance with design control and quality standards.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field

  • 5+ years of project management experience (manufacturing preferred)

  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong proficiency with project management tools (Smartsheet or similar platforms)

  • PMP certification preferred

  • Experience with NPI processes and design control principles highly desirable

  • Knowledge of ISO standards and regulatory compliance
