MANUFACTURING PLANT IN LIVERMORE CA IS LOOKING FOR 2 CAPSULATION/ TABLETING MACHINE OPERATORS FOR THEIR 1ST SHIFT. MUST BE OPEN TO POTENTIALLY MOVING TO 2ND SHIFT IN THE FUTURE THOUGH (FURTHER DOWN THE LINE).
SHIFT: 1ST 7AM-330PM
PAYS: $24-$27 HOURLY
LOOK FOR SOMEONE WITH THE FOLLOWING:
- CAPSULATION OR TABLET OPERATING XP
- XP WITH MACHINE SETUPS, CHANGEOVERS
- XP WITH SOME MECHANICAL APTITUDE
- XP DOING QUALITY CHECKS ON FINISHED GOODS
- XP WITH DOCUMENTATION LOTS OF DOCUMENTATION HERE
Summary:
Seeking a Capsule Machine Operator responsible for setting up, operating, cleaning, and maintaining capsule manufacturing equipment while ensuring high-quality production and compliance with GMP and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities

Set up, sanitize, operate, and perform routine maintenance on capsule machines.

Load ingredients, make machine adjustments, and run test batches to ensure correct setup.

Monitor production to ensure capsule quality, weight, size, and consistency.

Remove defective capsules and document finished and rejected counts.

Clean machines, tools, pans, and work areas after each batch and end of shift.

Request QC swab tests after cleaning and complete all cleaning/production logs.

Transfer finished capsules to drying or storage areas and ensure all pans remain covered.

Follow all SOPs, GMPs, safety rules, and company policies.

Meet production goals and communicate issues to supervisors.
Qualifications
-
High school diploma or equivalent; 1–2 years manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.

Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot machines.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
-
Able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for long periods, and perform repetitive motions.
-
Bilingual and forklift certification a plus.
Work Environment
-
Warehouse setting with varying temperatures and moderate–high noise levels.
-
Requires use of PPE (gloves, mask, hairnet, etc.).

Exposure to powders, odors, and small particles.
