LARGE COMPANY IN TROY AL IS LOOKING FOR A SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER WITH A STRONG BACKGROUND IN PURCHASING OF RESIN AND PVCS, INTERNATIONAL BUYING EXPERIENCE AS WELL IS REQUIRED.

THIS IS AN ONSITE ROLE

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:                                              
The duties of the Supply Chain Manager include, but are not limited to the following:
1.    Manages and monitors vendor’s qualification and performance to ensure they meet company’s requirement.
2.    Oversees and manages overall supply chain and logistics operations to maximize efficiency and minimize cost of organizations supply chain
3.    Collaborate with multiple –functional managers to plan and execute on the development of the distribution center operational process to enable seem less transfer
4.    Review or update supply chain practices in accordance with new or chaining environmental policies, standards, regulations or
5.    Select transportation routes to maximize by combining shipment or consolidating warehousing and distribution
6.    Develop material cost forecast or standard cost list.
7.    Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors or freight forwards
8.    Conduct or oversee the conduct of life cycle analysis to determine the environmental impacts of products, processes or system
9.    Monitor supplier performances to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirement.     
               

EDUCATION AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:                                      
1.    Bachelors Degree 
2.    Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, ERP/MRP and relational databases

EXPERIENCE:
5 years’ experience in related field, 1to 3 years supervisory experience maybe required, Proficient understanding of all of the supply chain process (inventory, planning and warehouse management)
Must have international buying experience, preferably in resin and PVC with China and India.
