SANITATION MANAGER OPENING IN LAKELAND FL. WE ARE LOOKING FOR A SKILLED SANITATION MANAGER OUT OF A FOOD AND BEVERAGE INDUSTRY. LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH A STRATEGIC PLANNING EXPEREINCE.

Position Overview:
The Sanitation & Pest Control Manager is responsible for leading, developing, and managing all sanitation and pest control programs within a 320,000 sq. ft. fresh bakery operating 24/7. This role ensures compliance with regulatory and company standards, drives continuous improvement, and fosters collaboration across Quality, Production, Supply Chain, and Maintenance teams. The manager will supervise a team of 25 skilled hourly associates and oversee all sanitation-related budgets, equipment, and chemical purchases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive sanitation and pest control programs, including Master Sanitation Schedules.

• Lead and supervise a 25-person sanitation crew, ensuring 24/7 coverage.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish sanitation objectives and performance metrics.

• Prepare and manage the annual sanitation budget, controlling labor, equipment, and chemical costs.

• Conduct plant inspections and audits.

• Design pest control strategies for year-round prevention in a sub-tropical environment.

• Troubleshoot sanitation, pest control, and quality issues, implementing best practices.

• Maintain regulatory documentation and support food safety initiatives.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED (Associate or Bachelor’s)

• 5+ years of sanitation management experience in manufacturing .

• AIB/SQF certification and knowledge of FDA and AIB regulations.

• Strong supervisory, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Office, and budget management.

• Eligible for pesticide application licenses.

• Flexible schedule to support 24/7 operations.

Preferred Skills:

• Expertise in Master Sanitation practices and pest control management.

• Proven ability to standardize and implement sanitation systems.
