SALARY RANGE: $110K-$130K

Position Overview

The Warehouse & Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics coordination, and material supply to production lines. This role manages a team of supervisors, leads, and warehouse personnel to ensure on-time deliveries, accurate inventory tracking, and compliance with safety, GMP, and SQF standards. The W&L Manager plays a critical role in coordinating with production scheduling, procurement, and sales to meet customer demands while maintaining operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, train, and mentor warehouse supervisors, leads, and staff to achieve high performance and professional growth.

  • Promote a culture of integrity, respect, commitment, and teamwork within the department.

  • Foster collaboration across cross-functional teams to solve problems and improve processes.

Warehouse Operations Management

  • Oversee material handling activities including receiving, storage, staging, picking, and delivery of raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and finished goods.

  • Supply production with required materials for all production lines, ensuring timely transfers between warehouses and production facilities.

  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) within warehouse areas.

  • Ensure FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and proper rotation of all ingredients and finished goods.

Inventory & Logistics

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels in ERP systems, ensuring correct cycle counts and transaction documentation.

  • Coordinate inbound deliveries and outbound shipments to meet production schedules and customer timelines.

  • Monitor shelf life, food safety compliance, and storage conditions for all materials and products.

  • Manage off-site and on-site storage facilities, controlling costs and maintaining accurate reporting.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all safety, food safety, and SQF programs, including proper documentation and training.

  • Train and certify employees in the safe operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other industrial trucks.

  • Conduct safety inspections, address hazards, and promote a safety-first culture.

  • Protect goods from contamination, tampering, and damage during handling and storage.

Budget & Continuous Improvement

  • Manage department operating budget, including labor, freight, storage, and supply costs.

  • Oversee the maintenance and functionality of trucks, forklifts, and material handling equipment.

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce operational costs and increase efficiency.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 7+ years of warehouse and logistics management experience, preferably in food manufacturing.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge of GMPs, SQF standards, and food safety regulations.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Forklift operation knowledge and certification preferred.
