LARGE MANUFACTURING COMPANY IN HO-HO-KUS NJ IS LOOKING FOR A PRODUCT ENGINEER OUT OF MANUFACTURING.

Looking for the following:

1. Someone that is strong with mathematics' and data
2. Need to have a minimum of 3 years of experience
3. Need to be technically sound and just overall good communicators

Day shift role

Salary: $90k-$95k

Job Purpose
The Product Engineer will be responsible for supporting new customer development/product design projects to facilitate new products with existing and prospective customers. The Product Engineer works with other members of the Product Engineering Team and other cross functional teams to bring new products from initial concept to production.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide technical product guidance and support during pre-sales discussions with current and prospective customers.  This individual will assist in developing technical proposals and answer detailed product questions.
• Build partnering relationships with customers to drive the penetration of Company offering.  Maintain frequent face-to-face contact with decision makers.  Actively listen, probe, and identify concerns.  Understand the customer's business and speak their language.  Develop credibility, loyalty, trust, and commitment.
• The position demands a highly technical candidate with the spirit of an entrepreneur.
• Candidate should possess the management skills to direct and oversee execution of projects.
• Develop long-term customer relationships with all customers.  Position company as the preferred supplier of wire and cable products.  Ensure customer retention via customer service and support.
• Solicit support from and communicate effectively with internal staff to ensure customer satisfaction.  Develop relationships with all to deliver quality results.
• Act as the customer’s advocate in interactions within the company to ensure the customer obtains the best value from our offerings.
• Manage raw material quotes and orders for new products.
• Develop and submit timely and competitive quotations to customers.
• Attend customer meetings in person or video conference and advise customers on technical aspects of products including fit to customers’ need.
• Provide request for quote responses, technical drawings, presentations, scopes of work, and technical recommendations.
• Directly responsible for overseeing and meeting all internal deadlines and customer due dates on assigned projects.  (Project management)
• Work as a feedback channel for customers to communicate with company staff.
• Keep management informed of progress and account status.
• Aid in the development and maintenance of marketing materials and media.
• Some travel is required.
• Attend and present at trade shows.  Manage leads and engage potential customers, during and after the show.
