CONSUMER PRODUCTS MANUFACTURING PLANT B IN FAIRLESS HILLS, PA IS LOOKING FOR AN ELECTRICIAN ON 2ND SHIFT. NEED HAVE A STRONG BACKGROUND IN PLC'S AND STRONG ELECTRICAL ONLY. THE HOURS FOR THIS ROLE IS 2PM-11PM WITH WEEKENDS WHEN NEEDED SO MUST BE OPEN TO WEEKENDS. THIS IS A UNION PLANT AND PAY RATE IS $37.25HR. GREAT COMPANY AND LOTS OF CAREER GROWTH WITHIN. 

This position is responsible for keeping his/her work area safe, maintaining good housekeeping, and efficient operation of the facility.  Performs Preventative/Corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on all plant electrical and control equipment, including PLC’s and other control devices.  Completes repairs, troubleshooting to plant mechanical equipment as assigned to maintain the production operation.  Maintains good communication with Supervision and other employees to ensure productivity and resolution of problems to minimize downtime.

MAJOR JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES AND OTHER DUTIES THAT IMPACT PRODUCT SAFETY, LEGALITY AND QUALITY SYSTEMS

    •    Makes repairs to safety related items as assigned, in a safe and efficient manner.
•    Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, fixtures, and other components. 
•    Diagnose malfunctioning electrical and control systems, PLC’s, sensors, and components to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem in a timely manner. 
•    Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair while ensuring compliance with all codes. 
•    Installs electrical components according to code and best practices in our environment. 
•    Performs PM’s and repairs for electrical and mechanical related items.
•    Performs mechanical work as needed, assisting others to provide safe and reliable repairs. 
•    Assists in electrical and control supplies and spare parts ordering.
•    Responsible for completing proper maintenance records, reporting unusual conditions and identifying added work that is needed. 
•    Observes all Federal, State and Company safety regulations.
•    Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and maintains associated records in an accurate and timely manner. Stores supplies, lubes, cleaners and other materials properly after use.
•    Maintains assigned work areas in a neat and orderly fashion, with good housekeeping.
•    Reports all damage, bad product defects and/or spillage to supervision immediately.
•    May be required to perform other duties related to the job. 
•    Performs required lock out/tag out as required.
•    Performs other electrical and mechanical work as assigned.
    
    QUALIFICATIONS
    Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
    
        •    Prior experience with industrial electrical and mechanical equipment as well as experience in an industrial environment
•    Minimum one to five (5) years of maintenance experience in a production packaging environment and mobile equipment facility.

    SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
    
        •    Work and make repairs and complete PM’s in a safe manner.
•    Has electrical and good mechanical knowledge to support the operation.
•    Maintains good housekeeping during and after the completion of work and repairs. 
•    Good communication with other line personnel to ensure productive operation.
    
    KEY INTERNAL/EXTERNAL CONTACTS 
    
        •    Requires daily contact with other employees in department.
    
    SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 
    
        •    Normal working schedule is day shift, afternoon shift or night shift.  Overtime is scheduled and worked as needed to support the operation.
•    Responds to urgent or emergency situations, as needed.
•    Works in a manufacturing plant environment, including drying and screening equipment, bagging lines and associated materials handling equipment.
