SOMEONE THAT ALSO HAS BEEN A HANDS ON MAINTENANCE MANAGER IN PREVIOUS ROLES. THEY KEY FOR THIS ROLE IS THE 50/50 EXPEREINCE WITH ENGINEERING AND MAINTENANCE. GREAT OPPORTUNITY WITH GROWTH POTENTIAL AS WELL. SALARY RANGE IS $210-225K WITH 20% BONUS.

nJOB Description: Maintenance Director
n
nThe Maintenance Director is responsible for managing the execution of standardized maintenance functions across multiple facilities. Primary responsibilities include holding maintenance managers accountable with maintenance task completion, adherence to maintenance budgets, and associate training as per guidelines. The Director will mentor each of the direct reports to ensure they continue to grow and develop with their position responsibilities. The Director plays an active role in coaching the managers to continually evaluate current maintenance processes providing input for change that will increase productivity or added cost savings. The Director works with local maintenance managers to evaluate current material handling assets ensuring full utilization prior to life cycle replacement process. Reviews/ recommends changes to existing material handling equipment and all proposed construction projects. Ensures each facility maintains timeline compliance and quality of work for capital projects. Ensures maintenance managers maintain an open, engaging labor relation's environment which remains issue free. Ensures that each facility completes required safety training and execute a strong safety-first environment.

nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
nManage the execution of all standardized maintenance functions across multiple locations. Responsible for developing DC M&R budgets in partnership with the local manager. Ensure approved budgets are maintained. Conduct semi-annual audits of all maintenance functions providing feedback to leadership. Review and recommend changes to contracted “Other Services” accounts ensuring contractual compliance and best pricing. Manage the coordination of all construction projects and internal changes to facility, property and equipment. Work with engineers on planning and evaluation of equipment changes for Process Improvement and Network Implementation. Ensure timeline compliance, quality of work and all safety standards are in compliance. Manage capital plan to ensure equipment obsolescence and end of life projects. Manage 3rd party vendors and maintenance teams when faced with failed systems

nQUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
nFour-year degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent industrial technical training with electro-mechanical systems. 7 or more years related maintenance manager experience in a retail distribution center. Technically proficient with highly automated distribution center material handling systems both mechanical and electrical. Ability to review and critique facility, conveyor systems, and schematic diagrams. Detailed understanding of OSHA standards and regulations with a strong emphasis on associate safety. Travel between 25-50% of the time in support direct reports. The ability to effectively communicate and interact at many organizational levels including non-exempt associates, operations supervisors, and high-level management. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and technical writing skills. Experience in using PCs in a professional setting – developing and using standard applications such as spreadsheets, databases, word processors and CMMS as typical tools to execute.

nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:
nJob requires ability to work in a warehouse environment, inside and outside of the building. Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc. Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
