nJob Description: Maintenance Technician
n
nInstalls, maintains, and repairs all machinery, equipment, physical structures of the facility, ingredient distribution, piping, and electrical systems.
n

nAccountabilities:
n
nMaintains troubleshoots, and repairs all manufacturing equipment such as wrappers, mixers, motors, conveyors, and refrigeration systems.
nInstalls control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breakers panels.
nConnects power cables to equipment, such as electric range or motor, and installs grounding leads.
nMonitors and ensures that the equipment is in excellent condition for operation.
nPerforms preventive and corrective maintenance on the equipment.
nRepairs faulty equipment or systems.
nInstalls power on the new manufacturing equipment.
nVisually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
nListens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machines.
nDismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
nCleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
nInstalls, modifies, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, SOVs, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
nRepairs and maintains the physical structure of the facility.
nInstalls, programs, or repairs automated machinery and equipment such as robots and PLCs.
nGenerate Work Orders, close out WO’s, search for available WO’s and enter work order confirmations into SAP.
nFollow GMP, Safety, and Food Safety policies and procedures
nAny other duties as assigned.

nQualifications:
n
nA high school diploma or GED is required. An Associate's degree or certificate in electrical, mechanical, or industrial automation engineering is preferred.
nMinimum of 3 years experience maintaining manufacturing systems and equipment in an automated plant.
nPLC and/or construction electrical (journeyman) certification is highly desirable.
nWelding and/or machinist certification is highly desirable.
nKnowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems is highly desirable.
nFood plant experience is preferred.
nMust have a strong mechanical background in a production setting troubleshooting and repairing gearboxes, conveyors, sprocket/chains, belts, clutches, and brakes.
nMust be able to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems up to 480v 3 phase, read and interpret electrical drawings and P&IDs.
nKnowledgeable in the use of all power tools, hand tools, welders, lathes, drill presses, etc.
nMust be able to work any shift including weekends and holidays.
nMust be able to work in a Team environment with limited supervision.”
