“DISTRIBUTION PLANT IN CARLISLE PA NEEDS 3 MAINTENANCE MECHANICS. LOOKING FOR MECHANICS WITH SOME ELECTRICAL OR SOME PLC TROUBLESHOOTING SKILLS MUST HAVE.
nSHIFTS ARE AS FOLLOWED:
n1.5:30AM-3:30PM WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY FRIDAY SATURDAY 10HR SHIFT 
n2.3PM-1AM WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY FRIDAY SATURDAY SUNDAY 10HR SHIFT
n3.10PM-6AM SUNDAY THROUGH THURSDAY 8 HOUR SHIFTS

nPAY RANGE: 25-29HR

nGENERAL PURPOSE:
n
nThe Maintenance Mechanic l will perform preventative maintenance and repairs (electrical, mechanical and fabrication).
n
nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
n
nPerform scheduled preventative maintenance on mechanical material handling equipment, including transportation conveyors, sortation systems, and forklifts.n

  • Perform maintenance projects as assigned on: conveyor systems; to include installation, removal, and process improvement changes.nt
  • Perform emergency mechanical repairs to failed material handling systems.nt
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled repairs to facility equipment.nt
  • Identify and locate required repair parts for failed systems.nt
  • Maintain accurate record keeping such as: work orders, time sheets, and parts request.n

nQUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:nn

  • Knowledge of basic manual hand tools, powered hand tools as in drills, grinders, and saws. Have the ability to weld and utilize a cutting torch. Must possess knowledge of basic facility repairs as in painting, minor plumbing, and lighting. Must also possess knowledge of spare parts procedures and inventory control.nt
  • Ability to utilize and be certified in the operation of forklifts, powered pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.nt
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.nt
  • Requires overtime work as necessary.nt
  • Must be flexible to work any shift and/or weekends as scheduled.nt
  • One to two years of progressive mechanical aptitude in a distribution or manufacturing environment preferred.nt
  • Mechanical inclination required.nt
  • Capable of troubleshooting basic mechanical system failures.nt
  • Will be expected to conduct all assigned tasks scheduled by supervisor.nt
  • Must be well organized, and able to complete, and perform work orders.nt
  • Cognizant of the expectation to be accountable for company assets, expenditures, and tools or equipment assigned.nt
