BEVERAGE MANUFACTURING PLANT IN LAKELAND FLORIDA NEEDS A LEAD MAINTENANCE MECHANIC ON DAY SHIFT WEDNESDAY- SATURDAY 5AM-5:30PM. PAY RANGE IS 28-32.00HR. MUST HAVE LEAD EXPERIENCE OUT OF FOOD OR BEVERAGE AND STRONG HANDS ON ELECTRICAL MECHANICAL SKILLS. DIRECT HIRE

nShift: Wednesday – Saturday, 5:00am – 5:30pm
nEssential Functions:
nAdhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and wear the required
npersonal protective equipment (PPE) while in the warehouse or production areas (including but not limited to
nhairnets/beard nets, safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe boots and seatbelts while operating forklifts)
nResponsible to adhere to food quality and food safety as per quality standards and/or Safe Quality Food requirements.
nPlans and performs complex corrective and preventative maintenance requiring a thorough knowledge of mechanical
ntheories and principles.
nEnsure all upgrades for equipment are complaints with Occupational Health & Safety Act.
nMinimize down time ensuring replacement/spare parts are available through proper preventative maintenance
nmanagement by adhering to manufacturer’s guidelines.
nAssist in scheduling maintenance personnel to cover production line maintenance needs.
nContributes to measurable improvements in scheduled, unscheduled and break down maintenance related down time
nand the costs associated with these events to contribute to CPC (cost per case) goals for each plant and shares best
npractices across and within the enterprise.
nReview daily preventative maintenance (PM) sheets and schedule work accordingly.
nReview any changes made to production line and make necessary changes to work orders.
nCoordinate and address equipment failure in a timely manner, in order to minimize the downtime.
nSupport Electricians and Mechanics with machine issues on the production floor.
nAssist in training of Electricians/Mechanics on production equipment and maintain Lockout/Tag out Program.
nCoordinate and monitor Preventative Maintenance program.
nCoordinate parts requirement with Parts Coordinator.
nCheck mail folder in Parts Room for any pertinent messages.
nExecute the escalation process, if downtime exceeds plant targets and there is an issue solving the problem.
nParticipate in Continuous Improvement Projects, and support initiatives with technical expertise.
nRequired Skills and Competencies:
nThorough technical knowledge in the field of industrial maintenance, including relevant regulations, standards and
ncodes.
nAbility to read and understand complex diagrams. Capable of MOS leadership skills combined with team player attitude.
nThorough understanding of engineering principles and maintenance practices.
nAbility to read and understand complex piping diagrams and mechanical drawings.
nObjective judgment and fact based decision making approach.
nStrong multi-tasking competency.
nProficient in SAP.
nEducation and Experience:
nElectrician or Millwright (Dual Ticket – Electrician/Millwright an asset)
n5 years production/line machine maintenance experience
nLine maintenance within a food and beverage production environment preferred
nWorking Conditions:
nPhysical-Continuously standing or walking. Regular requirements to lift/handle/carry material or equipment of moderate
nweight.
nVisual/Sensory-This position requires regular need to give moderate attention with one or two senses at a time.
nWork environment- Work and environment are very repetitive.
nMental Stress- There is pronounced pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy or similar demands.
