REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or GEDnt
Courses from a junior college or technical institute, job-related seminars, or ongoing educationnt
Previous verifiable experience as maintenance mechanic (min of 1yr)nt
3 to 4 years of experience in food processingnt
Must supply own toolsnt
Machining of parts using a lathe, mill, grinders, etc.nt
Welding (preferred) – arc, heli-arc, plasma, sanitarynt
Ability to troubleshoot and repair pumps – both centrifugal and positive displacementnt
Ability to troubleshoot systems through reading schematicsnt
Skilled in electrical constructionnt
Skilled in the use of electronic testing equipment with the ability to simulate bench testing proceduresnt
Experience with utility-related equipment boilers, water systems, air compressors, HVACnt
Experience with automated and high-speed packaging equipmentnt
Experience with computerized maintenance management systemsnt
Experience with Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and other computer applicationsnt
Strong electrical and instrumentation skills, and experience with PLCnt
Knowledge of AC/DC drives and related electrical controlsn

JOB FUNCTIONS:

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production line and facility equipmentnt
Perform predictive and preventive maintenance routines on all equipmentnt
Assist with the installation of new equipment or layoutsnt
Assist with the operation of production line equipmentnt
Assist with other areas of plant maintenance as needednt
Maintain proper housekeeping in all areas and follow good manufacturing practicesnt
Must be able to participate in emergency response team (able to wear SCBA and respirator)nt
All other duties as assigned by managementn
