nJob Title: Maintenance Technician – Night Shift
n
nPosition Description:
n
nWe have an opening for a Maintenance Technician, Level I position based in Salt Lake City, UT.
n
nThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, developing, and creating dependable equipment throughout our facility. Implements continuous improvements, supports new system installations, production strategies and plant reliability.
n
nPersons must be capable in analyzing conditions, technical troubleshooting thru the process, mechanical and electrical issues which prevent meeting the shift or weekly schedules. Assists, trains/coaches employees in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and the repair of machinery and equipment.
n
nThe successful candidate must have a passion for safety and be able to foster effective working relationships built upon trust and respect within all levels of the organization.
n
nResponsibilities:
n• Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and accurate format and completed with all required information.
n• Attend and practice all required training.
n• Perform predictive maintenance techniques on equipment to enhance uptime conditions.
n• Train operators on maintenance techniques when called to troubleshoot or repair equipment.
n• Completes preventative maintenance and other reliability tasks, assist in diagnostics, repairs and rebuilds of machines; partner with engineering or others on non-routine repairs and defect handling solutions.
n• Utilize root cause analysis thought process to ensure sustainability of corrective actions and/or improvements to drive asset reliability.
n• Effectively complete PM’s as scheduled to eliminate unplanned downtime.
n• Proficient and diligent in use of CMMS system to track maintenance action items.
n• Classify breakdowns and analyze gaps in the entire process of design, fabrication, and maintenance of equipment.
n• Utilize the continuous improvement mindset and tools to participate in identifying and correcting opportunities actively, and improving processes, including participation in the creation and documentation of Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions, the design and maintenance of preventative maintenance standards, the writing of One Point Lessons, and participation in continuous improvement methodology events.
n• Follow QMS, Good Manufacturing Practices and 5S methodology to maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area, maintaining audit ready status at all times.
n• Adhere to all Pillar Standards and actively participate in Pillar activities (i.e. Quality, Focused Improvement, Safety, etc.) including but not limited to assessments, observations, inspections, and recommendations.
n• Communicates effectively with Leadpersons, OPEX Leaders, Production Leaders, Reliability Leader, Engineering and other colleagues.
n• Supports plant production needs and priorities to achieve plant goals.
n• Facilitate, attend and participate in team meetings and programs.
n• Comply with all regulations, policies and procedures.
n• All other duties as assigned or become evident.

nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities
n• You are multi-craft/multi-skilled with expertise in electrical, electrical controls, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and fabrication
n• You have working and practical knowledge of plant utility systems (including boiler systems, compressed air systems, water filtration, and wastewater treatment) R134A Refrigeration systems are a plus
n• You have a working knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, Servo, and plant automation systems
n• You have previous experience with industrial controls using Allen Bradley control platforms, Motor Controls (Servo and VFD) are a definite plus
n• Ability to work in various shifts
n• Able to work overtime when required
n• Ability to prioritize and multitask

n Language Skills
n• Ability to read and interpret work orders, safety rules, and mechanical and electrical drawings.
n• Comprehend operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
n• Ability to fill out routine reports and correspondence documents
n• Ability to communicate any issues or problems to upper management while also being able to work with other staff members to get a particular job completed
n• Excellent oral and written communication skills and possess tact.

nComputer Skills
n• You have a working knowledge of computer system input, retrieval, and use or the ability to learn in a reasonable training period.
n• You have experience in software including Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project

n Mathematical Skills
n• Ability to add, subtract, and multiply all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
n• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages and generate and interpret bar graphs, and apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.
n• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions,
n• Ability to calculate proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

nPhysical Demands:

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. PPE includes safety glasses, hearing protection and sanitary footwear.
