“GENERAL PURPOSE
n
nPrimary responsibilities are to provide Controls Engineering support to – Network Implementation, Process Improvement and Maintenance teams with standardization, design, development, optimization and increased reliability of automated material handling equipment and warehouse control systems in all the Distribution Centers. This position includes a high degree of autonomy Manager, Controls Engineering will overview control systems for industrial material handling solutions. Lead/Mentor and manage team of Controls Engineers. Collaboratively lead development of specifications, device layout drawings, control schematics, PLC logic, SCADA/DCS systems and implement solutions which deliver exceptional value.

nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
n
nFunction: Controls and Automation as it related to Capital Projects. § Support on-site commissioning, to implement and validate control systems design with Integrator. § Review vendor control systems specifications and scope documentation. § Standardize control systems. § Perform control systems obsolescence conversions. § Create, controls sequence of operation, process flow diagram and ensure design meets requirement. § Design/overview system layouts, schematics and control devices. § Design SIL rated systems, based on functional safety per IEC 61508. Including software verification and validation. § Perform risk assessment, using LOPA and risk graphs. § Maintain a control systems progress schedule that relates to project milestones for each project. Function: Optimize and Support Distribution Center Control Systems. § Manage, configuration of HMI and RTU/OIT. § Configure and assist in troubleshooting SCADA and DCS systems. § Perform control systems modeling and simulation. Function: Optimize and Support Distribution Center Control Systems. § Robotize material handling processes. Including but not limited to Cartesian, Delta and Scara robots programmatic and hardware functions. § Design and optimize automated machine vision applications. Both, 2D and 3D. § Cybersecure control systems. Achieve IIOT and Industry 4.0. § Partner with warehouse, process improvement team leads to identify and integrate discrete and analog controls/automation solutions. § Manage, controls documentation and support for field wiring. § Manage, optimization and troubleshooting of Programmable Logic Controller, software and hardware. Function: Provide guidance/direction and assist controls resources at the distribution centers. § Provide Control Systems technical support and training to local users. § Work closely with DC Operations and Distribution Engineers, for achieving control systems reporting and dashboard, in terms of KPIs, OEE, MTBF and MTTR…etc. Design and implement Control Systems changes and improvements.

nREQUIREMENTS
nQualification, Skills and Qualities ? Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Else, a four-year degree and equivalent experience. ? Experience, mentoring and developing early career engineers. Including, cohesive and collaborative work with different engineering teams. ? Demonstrated ability shepherding engineering tasks and design in collaboration with internal/external teams. ? Hands on experience with reliability and root cause analysis tools, such as FMEA, Ishikawa Diagram and DOE/ANOVA. ? 8 years progressive experience in Controls Engineering. ? Intermediate knowledge of ADC/DAC systems, controls modeling and simulation tools. ? Intermediate skills in MATLAB/Simulink. ? Knowledge of several PLC platforms. Most specifically, Rockwell Automation. ? In depth knowledge of fieldbus protocols – Ethernet/IP, Profibus, ProfiNET and CAN. ? In depth knowledge of IEC61131-3 programming languages. ? Systems Engineering experience, including but not limited to waterfall and agile methodologies. ? Understanding of relevant ISO, IEC, ANSI, NIST and NFPA standards. ? In-depth understanding of computer networks and Ethernet TCP/IP protocol. ? Proven experience delivering solutions in Industrial Automation. ? Excellent oral and written communication skills. ? Be self-motivated. ? Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines. ? Willing to learn and grow with the Company. ? Demonstrate creative thinking. ? Energetic, friendly, outgoing, and proactive personality. Desirable Skills and Qualification ? Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. ? Experience with multiple PLC hardware platforms. Including, but not limited to Siemens, Schneider Electric, Honeywell, Mitsubishi and Beckhoff Automation, etc. ? 8 years, plus progressive experience in Controls/Automation industry. ? Hands-on experience with the design of industrial networks. ? Proven skills with use of AutoCAD. ? Strong experience with SCADA systems. Including, but not limited to FactoryTalk View SE. ? Effective programming skills in C/C++, Python and IEC-61131-3 languages. ? Familiarity with DDE, OPC/UA and TSN protocols.

Job frequently requires sitting, handling objects with hands. Job occasionally requires standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, and lifting up to 10 pounds. Up to 50% travel.
