nOur Client has an immediate need for an International Tax Manager located in The Woodlands, TX and is open for hybrid work. In this role, you will work with other CHX departments for company data (historical and forecasted) related to foreign operations and coordinates with other functional leads in the tax group to ensure inclusion and proper reporting on the company’s tax returns, tax plans, budgets & forecasts and financial reports to ensure compliance with U.S. and foreign tax reporting requirements.  This role will also assist in IRS and government audit inquiries.

What You Will Do:

    Coordinates with other CHX departments to gather data for U.S. International Tax Compliance, Tax provisions, forecasts and planning.

    Oversees the U.S. international compliance, including Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, FTC and CbCR – Form 5471s, Form 8858s, Form 8865s, Form 5472s, Form 8990, Form 8992, Form 8993, Form 8975, Form 1118.

    Oversees the calculation of Subpart F income, GILTI, FDII, FTC and APB 23 on the quarterly and annual tax provisions.

    Liaises with and provides responses to internal and external auditors during the financial audit cycle.

    Generates and leads process improvements and efficiencies, such as the automation of data load into U.S. tax compliance software, E&P adjustment automation and standardize tax workpaper support.

    Maintains U.S. outside and inside tax basis of foreign companies and foreign partnerships.

    Maintains foreign tax credit support and analyzes foreign tax credit position.

    Maintains U.S. tax compliance calendar, reviewing structure changes and requires tax disclosures and statements.

    Works with outside vendors and internal departments on tax technology development, improvement and implementation – U.S. tax return compliance software and U.S. tax fixed asset software.

    Assists with analysis of new and proposed tax legislation and works with business and corporate personnel to analyze data and propose solutions.

    Assists with global restructuring, legal entity rationalization projects.

    Identifies tax savings and exposures and effectively communicates such findings.

    Seeks to improve the financial and tax accounting systems and their relationship to tax return preparation.

    Assists with presentations for management, Audit Committee and Board of Directors.

    Provides guidance to staff and supervises tax compliance and tax provision-related work performed by tax staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

    Bachelor's Degree in accounting or related field required

    5-8 years of related experience
