“PLASTIC FILM PLANT IN COMMERCE CA NEEDS A STRONG PROJECT ENGINEER THAT UNDERSTANDS START TO FINISH ON PROJECTS. PLASTIC EXPERIENCE IS KEY. INVENTORY MANAGEMENT IS A HUGE PLUS FOR THIS ONE AS WELL. ALSO WORKING WITH OUTSIDE VENDORS IS KEY. SALARY RANGE IS 90-120K

nThey have a less experienced Project Engineer and also want to have a more Senior Project Engineer on staff to help with all of the Projects.
nNeed Manufacturing Experience
nPlastics Extrusion experience would be IDEAL!
nJOB/POSITION TITLE: Project Engineer
nREPORTS TO: Project Engineering Manager
nTYPICAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
nManage and complete engineering projects related to manufacturing processes, supporting infrastructures or facilities for Company.
nWork in coordination with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and other departments to specify, design, and commission the projects that you are responsible for. Support and maintain project administration documentation. Implement new and continuous improvements to plant efficiency, productivity, and product quality. Perform detail analysis, present technical solutions, optimize configuration layouts, and evolve existing/future operations. Support finance group and capital appropriation administration. Complete assignments, duties, and tasks in support of business and management objectives.
nPRIMARY POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
n1. Manage and execute projects with engineering and technical dimensions
n2. Responsible for all aspects of project management: resources, scheduling, costs, communication, …
n3. Develop functional analysis and technical specifications
n4. Design or co-design with suppliers solutions that would fulfill project objectives
n5. Manage contractors, or internal resources associated with the projects
n6. Report and maintain accurate meeting minutes, budgets, schedules, status, performance, and contracts
n7. Provide frame work, metrics, controls, collect and conduct vital assurances and inspections
n8. Ensure compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, and standards
n9. Organize official documents associated with submittals, bids, contracts, drawings, COs, Supply Chain
n10. Track business documents associated with Permits, RFIs, finances, lessons, improvements,
n11. Procure, organize, and manage parts, supplies, equipment, needed for the project
n12. Maintain proactive communication with stakeholders
n13. Update schedule based on project team input, supplier progress and materials deliveries
n14. Track, inspect, implement, and administrate material deliveries and paperwork
n15. Assist in preparation of bi-monthly project status reports
n16. Support project until successful start up and anticipated results are obtained
n17. Transfer knowledge and documents to final users for effective take over
nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
nA. Knowledge in civil, mechanical, electrical, and material engineering principles
nB. Knowledge in construction, fabrication, manufacturing, and assembling practices and methods
nC. Experience with alteration of electro-mechanical equipment and mechanisms
nD. Knowledge in automation integration, electrical box components, and system configurations.
nE. computer knowledge, proficient with Microsoft Office software
nF. project management tools, decision making, risk management, and conflict resolution
nG. read, create, alter, and exchange drawings, 2D CAD and 3D Modeling
nH. Plastic extrusion, calendering, and winding knowledge are a plus
nI. Ability to function independently

nPOSITION REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
n• Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably mechanical. Or its equivalent in a closely related field of engineering supplemented by work experience.
n• Minimum 4 years’ experience in an engineering position associated with manufacturing, or assembling.
n• Ability to read, speak and comprehend the English language as determined through appropriate testing and/or the interview process
