Need 3 Maintenance Electricians:

  • 1 tech will be on nights Monday – Wednesday 6 PM – 6 AM (3 days a week, 4 days off – Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
  • 1 tech will be on nights Thursday – Saturday 6 PM – 6 AM (3 days a week, 4 days off – Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday)
  • 1 tech will be on days Monday – Wednesday 6 AM – 6 PM (3 days a week, 4 days off – Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)

You'll work 3 days on, 4 days off, 3 days on, 4 days off and so on.  You'll be working the same days all the time, with the same days off. There will be OT opportunities especially on maintenance down day(s).

Job Description:

We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician who will ensure that our production and manufacturing assets are fully utilized and maintained daily while adhering to proper safety rules and regulations. The incumbent will be asked to perform routine maintenance on sophisticated equipment. The Electrician will work with the Maintenance Manager to plan and schedule equipment downtime, along with documenting logs and machine failures. Compensation and benefits are competitive and commensurate with experience level.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintain machine logs to record the type and incidence of errors, repairs or maintenance performed and machine setting
  • Lead preventative and routine mechanical maintenance on machines
  • Lead electrical breakdown and/or repair on equipment including motorized equipment, PLC’s, industrial wiring and electrical systems used in the manufacturing environment
  • Maintain and repair support infrastructure in line with electrical maintenance work
  • Troubleshoot performance issues working with machine operators, mechanics and process engineers
  • Troubleshoot basic and advanced electrical and automation systems by viewing trends, motor loads, logic, wiring diagrams

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge and high-level efficiency of hand tools, power tools, electrical systems, PLC’s, End Coders, Limit Switches, Proximity Switches, Ladder Logic, HMI’s, Knowledge of safe working practices with rotating and high voltage machinery
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements including lock-out/tag-out, confined spaces, MSDS, etc.
  • Ability to disassemble and assemble gearboxes, motors, and pumps
  • Ability to identify and measure critical tolerances or dimensions
  • Ability to trouble-shoot electrical system failures and resolve in a timely manner
  • Ability to perform failure analysis on motors, gearboxes, automated equipment
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance (PM’s)

Experience:

  • Experience with electrical maintenance in a heavy manufacturing environment
  • 3 years of experience as an industrial electrician in a manufacturing environment
  • 3 years of experience with PLC’s

Education and Certifications:

  • HS diploma or GED required, Technical or Vocational School is preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Be on your feet for 10-12 hours
  • Able to lift 40 pounds unassisted.
  • Able to reach, bend, kneel and climb while performing repetitive tasks
  • Ability to work in hot and cold environments
  • Able to correctly wear PPE for entire shifts
  • Able to react and respond quickly to noises, smells, visual hazards, and alerts
