nMajor Duties and Responsibilities:
nPerform scheduled PMs as per documented instructions, to maintain optimum performance and reliability
nMechanical/Electrical troubleshooting/repairs on production/packaging equipment
nMaintain a high sense of safety responsibility at all times
nRespond to service calls and requests in a timely fashion
nAssist at all times with keeping the plant running as smooth as possible while work on maintenance projects and perform PM task
nRecognize waste and recommend initiatives for elimination and reduction
nPerform repair work and build maintenance, such as changing light bulbs for the facility, greasing and oiling equipment and replacing pumps and valves on all utility systems
nCleans work area, tools, and equipment 
nWrite special and new part requests
nUse computer system to locate parts and schedule repairs
nComply with all GMP, safety procedures, company and quality policies and hazard analysis and critical control points
nMaintain electrical lines, circuits, systems and associated fixtures, controls and equipment
nModify and repair piping systems and equipment, such as vacuum and plant compressed air systems
nForm, join, assemble and install conduits, chutes, guarding and other items and systems
nRepair and rebuild items from raw stock of different metals, metal alloys and other materials
nWeld all types of commonly used metals and alloys of various sizes, shapes and thickness
nMaintain various types of non-production industrial plant machinery equipment and systems
nMaintain numerous types of fixed and semi-fixed production machinery
nMaintain and repair utility systems, such as HVAC, plant compressed air equipment and boiler plant equipment
nPerform other duties as assigned

nFood Safety Requirements/Responsibilities:
nComply with all Plant, State and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations.
nAssist in the maintenance of Food Safety and Quality system.
nResponsible for Non-GMO SGS Supply Chain Standards.

nOrganizational Relationships:
nPosition reports to Plant Engineer
n
nQualifications:
nHigh school diploma and a minimum of 3 years related experience; Bi-lingual in English and Spanish helpful.
