MAINTENANCE MECHANIC OPENING HAMMOND INDIANA ROTATING SCHEDULE EVERY WEEK. PAY RATE IS 25-30HR

Here’s the job description and rate for the maintenance role.

$30.07/hour
Weekly rotating schedule
- 11p-7a: Work 7 days (W-Tu), off 1 day (W)
- 3p-11p; Work 7 days (Th-W), off 2 days (Th & Fri)
- 7a-3p; Work 7 days (Sa-Fri), off 4 days (Sa-Tu)
Union
OT mandatory; call-ins as needed

Shift Mechanic Wants

At least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience

Fabrication and Welding experience beneficial

Minor electrical and pipe fitting experience a plus

Experience with conveyors, bearings, pneumatics and hydraulics, pumps, gear reducers, etc.

Ability to use precision measuring equipment. (i.e. Calipers, micrometers, dial indicators)

Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds (whatever our spec is for this one. I think it is 50?)

Experience with operating fork trucks, scissor lifts, articulating boom lifts, etc.

Safely operate cranes, power tools, hoists, and hand tools

Work well with others

Computer skills needed for emails and CMMS maintenance program for work orders.

Troubleshooting knowledge and experience needed for fast paced manufacturing environment.

Overtime is voluntary and forced at times

Must be able to work rotating shifts

Weekends and Holidays are scheduled

Must be able to work independently and in groups with limited supervision to get a quality job done

Job safety/LOTO compliance a must

Maintain parts and tools inventory

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Advanced technical training preferred

Identify faulty equipment through observation and testing metrics.
