Job Summary

This position requires an exceptional customer service oriented individual that can proactively organize and keep machine parts with correct stock inventories.  Will receive daily work direction and assignments from Lead or Maintenance Manager.

 

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Maintains spare parts inventory by replacing spare parts as they are used.  Track and control components that are sent out for repair.
  • Inventory parts bins and spaces on daily basis, order parts when quantities are at minimum.  Maintain inventory at established minimums.
  • Inventory "critical spare parts" daily to insure availability of high use items.
  • Maintain the parts areas and stock room in clean, neat, and organized conditions.
  • Ensures that all reference information are correctly entered into Network.
  • Insure parts received are input on a daily basis into the computer inventory program.
  • Ship and receive department parts as required.  Check and sign for incoming parts as needed. 
  • Conduct parts or components search and pricing as directed by Maintenance Manager.
  • Assist in the training of specialized equipment as needed.

Qualifications

  • Microsoft Office Skills, including Excel
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated effective judgment/decision making skills
  • Good math skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.

 

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required, Technical degree in mechanical field and/or 1-3 years of related experience, preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in purchasing within two (2) years of stock and inventory control preferred.  *Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered.
