Blow mold manufacturer is in search of a Plant Manager, must have a degree from a four year university and would prefer someone with a background in running a blow molding operation. The goal is to try and fill this position in Q1 2022.

Salary starting is $135,000 to $150,000 – no bonus at this time, company will grow into a bonus in the future. This is however an equity position so you'll receive this in your offer.

Job description

 

We are seeking a Plant Manager with demonstrated experience in running manufacturing facilities to contribute towards the company's existing and future product line. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a revolutionary product that signals the end of single-use plastic.

 

The leader in this role is responsible for developing, communicating and deploying effective plant manufacturing strategies and processes that enable achievement of safety, financial, production, and employment goals.

Among other tasks, you will:

  • Champion a safety culture, ensure a safe work environment and cultivate safe behavior
  • Coordinate production, distribution, and warehousing in accordance with policies, principles, and procedures established by Company
  • Manage performance through proactive coaching and direction to ensure timely and efficient plant operations
  • Maintain procedures for accurate inventory of finished goods and raw materials
  • Provide guidelines to ensure timely repair and efficient predictive and preventive maintenance of equipment and machinery
  • Develop plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees
  • Oversee all facets of production
  • Lead and directs other department managers reporting to the Plant Manager
  • Respond to needs of Corporate Offices
  • Manage production costs and product quality and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of facility
  • Direct preparation of accounting records
  • Recommend budgets to management
  • Manage subordinate managers & supervisors in Quality, Maintenance, Logistics & Administration
  • Be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
  • Initiate action for food and product safety issues

 

A strong candidate will have the following abilities, qualifications, and experiences:

 

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with progressive leadership responsibilities
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
  • Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.,) in its most difficult phases
  • Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables
