The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading, developing, managing, and executing all aspects of maintenance for the company. Responsible for the supervising, training, and mentoring members of the Maintenance department. This position exists to ensure the production equipment is properly maintained in order to produce and package all products. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: 
? Conduct daily walks through the facility conducting visual inspections checking for irregular or unusual noises or behaviors from the equipment.  ? Generate PM formats for production, building and utility services equipment. ? Ensure that proper operating procedures and safety guidelines are followed by all Maintenance personnel when equipment repairs and PM activities are conducted, complying with local, state and federal regulations. ? Ensure proper safety training for all maintenance personnel on lockout / tagout, confined space, etc.  ? Ensure the effective utilization of all equipment maintenance reporting, completion, and routine maintenance specific to the equipment operations of the facility (SOP’s). ? Maintain equipment history reports for all utilities services, processing, manufacturing, and packing equipment.  ? Manage and control the annual maintenance budget for spare parts and facility equipment repairs.  ? Engage in the recruitment for staff and provide leadership to all associates on all shifts.  ? Execute a performance-based culture, both team and individual, to assure continuous improvement and alignment with enterprise vision, mission, and objectives. ? Provide leadership in measuring, assessing, and enhancing plant equipment capabilities and performance. ? Ensure that all quality and safety standards, specifications and policies are met, drive continuous equipment improvements, and collaborate with the production team to drive efficiencies. ? Drive culture based on open/honest dialogue and involvement with all team members that demonstrates the value of their input and engagement in improving performance. ? Maintaining an effective maintenance work order process: Work order requests, preventive maintenance schedules, completed work orders and follow up actions. ? Source/procure/maintain/control maintenance materials and inventory. ? Manage Maintenance Purchase Order process. ? Maintain and organize all machine manual, plant drawings and other critical documents. ? Follow all procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and personal safety requirements outlined in position Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). ? Execute preparation of all daily, weekly, monthly reporting. ? Issue work schedule & resulting status. 


? Manage blade sharpening and other vital periodic programs as needed. ? Effectively communicate timing, delivery of parts and/or work order progress to internal customers/departments. 
? Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment. ? Bachelor’s Degree or Technical School Certification Preferred  
Work Experience: 
? Minimum 5+ years manufacturing maintenance experience in a food, consumer packaged goods (CPGs), or related industry required. ? 5+ years in a plant leadership role supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing Maintenance Technicians; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees. ? Experience with SLC 500 Programming (RS Logic) ? Experience with Panel View 500, 600 & 1000 (Panel Builder) and VFD’s programming ? Experience with Process Control Instrumentation Programming and Repairs ? Experience with the installation/repairs of conveyor systems, walk-in freezers, bakery ovens, and high sped production lines. ? General building maintenance. ? Experience with the installation and repairs of plumbing, pumps, motors, valves, pneumatic control equipment, boilers, compressors and hydraulics.  
? Adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve problems in a timely manner.  ? Organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor own work for quality.  ? Dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction and requests. ? Multitask and show flexibility with last minute changes. ? Must understand and comply with all GMP’s and Food Safety requirements. ? Highly motivated and can handle a high volume of work with accuracy in a fast-changing environment.  ? Work independently and troubleshoot issues as applicable.  ? Able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situations. ? Physical Requirements: 
? Work may require moderate lifting of objects up to 50 pounds.  ? Usually required to stand and walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, talk and hear. ? Exposure to chemical cleaning solution (with protective gear) ? Position requires frequent lifting, standing, reaching, climbing, pulling, stooping, bending, and kneeling ? Maintain constant mental focus and constantly be aware of surroundings ? Ability to be on feet majority of shift, frequent walking and standing. ? Other Requirements 
? Must be able to successfully pass Drug and Alcohol pre-employment and ongoing screening.  ? Valid Drivers’ License required.  ? Must have the ability to work a varying schedule which might include shift work (days or nights), weekdays or weekends, and some holidays. ? Able to communicate, both verbally and in writing, both English and Spanish
