3-Mechanic 1st shift: 5:30am – 2:00pm
3- Mechanic 2nd shift: 1:45pm – 10:45pm
3- Mechanic 3rd shift: 10pm – 6:30am
JOB DESCRIPTION: Mechanic
Ability to repair most manufacturing and facility equipment with minimal supervision.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES:
Repair most manufacturing and facility equipment.
Assesses problems with minimal guidance and supervision.
Interprets blue prints and schematics.
Understands electrical circuits and PLC’s.
Uses all standard tools of the trade.
Follows code and regulatory requirements.
Practices and follows safety requirements.
Completes documents as required by department guidelines
Practices and follow safety requirements.
Complies with all SOP’s and GMP’s
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES:
Understanding and if applicable, handling hazardous material and waste using proper and safe techniques
Assists in Parts Room Maintenance
As necessary, performs other related functions of which the above are representative.
Must have knowledge of blue prints and schematics. Must have basic to advance knowledge of electrical circuits and PLC’s. Must have basic to advance code and regulatory knowledge.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Basic math skills.
Effective written communication skills, including legibility.
Strong attention to detail.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Must be able to fully read, write, and speak English. Must be flexible to change of priorities on assigned tasks. Must be able to communicate and interface on all levels effectively. Must be able to operate machinery such as lathes, mills, drill presses, and all power and hand tools applicable to the position.
Good hand and eye coordination. Medium to heavy physical effort required for a variety of physical activities to include walking, standing, squatting, and lifting. Must have good hand coordination to use hand tools and other devices. Must be able to hear directions.
Work priorities are subject to change and interruptions, which can produce stress and mental fatigue.
At times work will be conducted in high noise area and around electricity and high voltage. Work will also be conducted in high places, including ladders, lifts, and platforms. Sometimes work is performed in awkward positions around moving machinery.
