Job Description: Training Manager

To support Company's growth strategy significant investments need to be made to strengthen the basic infrastructure of the company (processes, systems, equipment, and people). The Training Manager is a critical role to help develop and train content to the teams in the plants. The role will help drive our safety culture, improve the new hire training program, and assist in developing and implementing training of Continuous Improvements initiatives (CIs) or Lean tools.

Position Overview
This position will long term include key responsibilities such as:
• Design, lead, and implement training programs to support new hires at hourly level in the factory
• Implements and supports safety program by working with all levels in the facility to train safety content
• Support the development of leadership training programs for all people managers
• Leverage multiple channels and tools to support an array of learners (think: videos and online tools, virtual and in-person instruction, gamification, simulations, assessments, coaching, and mentoring)
• Develop relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that learning and development initiatives are aligned with both individual and team needs
• Work with leaders across the company to identify and develop high-potential employees to fill key roles within the organization
• Support the planning and implementation of SOPs and One Point Lessons
• Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of learning and development programs to create a culture of continuous improvement
• Implements the Company's Production System processes as they pertain to technician training and qualification.
• Conducts annual training and development programs and tracks that employees are up to date on relevant training programs.
• Develops. Monitors, and validates training curriculum across all levels within the plant.
• Trains and coaches’ managers and others involved in employee development efforts.
• Plans, coordinates, and facilitates employee development and training events.
• Develops and maintains organizational communications such as bulletin boards and newsletters to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources.
• Conducts follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results and modifies programs as warranted.

Desired Education and Experience
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years leading a Training and Development program in a manufacturing facility
• Proven track record of designing and implementing SOPs and One Point Lessons for hourly associates
• Previous experience developing leadership training curriculums
• Experience with training Lean/CI initiatives 
• Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc)
• BS degree in business administration, education, human resources or relevant field
Lean or 6 Sigma Certifications preferred
