Job Description: Maintenance Technician
The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on production and company assets
Proficient in working with cutting torch, grinder, drill press, and hand tools. Proficient in working with motors, brakes and clutches. Proficient in welding and metal fabrications. Proficient in pneumatic systems. Proficient in troubleshooting hardwire controls of all industrial controls voltages. Proficient in calibrating, setting up, and testing industrial electronic devices. Proficient in automation process control wiring, design, testing, and troubleshooting. Assist production in breakdowns.
Must also be able to read electrical schematics and blueprints. Must have strong skills in mechanical, electrical, PLCs, troubleshooting, as well as basic maintenance skills. Must have an educational background in electrical, electronic, and PLC devices. Must be available to work off shifts. Prefer six plus years of manufacturing experience. 2 year technical degree or equivalent education knowledge.
- involves daily exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, darkness, and/or noise. Seasonal exposure to weather elements to include, but not limited to, extreme temperatures, wetness and humidity. Work environment involves daily exposure to physical risks, such as working around mechanical equipment, forklifts, chemical hazards, and electrical hazards. Position requires the ability to stand; walking around office and plant; lifting and carrying packages up to 50 pounds; utilizing fine dexterity; and reaching, kneeling, crawling and twisting on a daily basis. Also requires the ability to see; hear; and communicate with associates as well as others by utilizing professional etiquette. Must be able to climb vertical ladders to 80’. Personal protective equipment, as defined by Company will be provided.
