Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform scheduled PMs as per documented instructions, to maintain optimum performance and reliability
Mechanical/Electrical troubleshooting/repairs on production/packaging equipment
Maintain a high sense of safety responsibility at all times
Respond to service calls and requests in a timely fashion
Assist at all times with keeping the plant running as smooth as possible while work on maintenance projects and perform PM task
Recognize waste and recommend initiatives for elimination and reduction
Perform repair work and build maintenance, such as changing light bulbs for the facility, greasing and oiling equipment and replacing pumps and valves on all utility systems
Cleans work area, tools, and equipment 
Write special and new part requests
Use computer system to locate parts and schedule repairs
Comply with all GMP, safety procedures, company and quality policies and hazard analysis and critical control points
Maintain electrical lines, circuits, systems and associated fixtures, controls and equipment
Modify and repair piping systems and equipment, such as vacuum and plant compressed air systems
Form, join, assemble and install conduits, chutes, guarding and other items and systems
Repair and rebuild items from raw stock of different metals, metal alloys and other materials
Weld all types of commonly used metals and alloys of various sizes, shapes and thickness
Maintain various types of non-production industrial plant machinery equipment and systems
Maintain numerous types of fixed and semi-fixed production machinery
Maintain and repair utility systems, such as HVAC, plant compressed air equipment and boiler plant equipment
Perform other duties as assigned
                                                             
Food Safety Requirements/Responsibilities:
Comply with all Plant, State and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations.
Assist in the maintenance of Food Safety and Quality system.
Responsible for Non-GMO SGS Supply Chain Standards.

Organizational Relationships:
Position reports to Plant Engineer

Qualifications:
High school diploma and a minimum of 3 years related experience; Bi-lingual in English and Spanish helpful.
