MANUFACTURING PLANT IN HODGES SOUTH CAROLINA IS  SEEKING A DAY SHIFT MAINTENANCE PLANNER FOR THERE HODGES SC PLANT AS WELL. PAY RANGE IS 28-33 PER HOUR LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH CMMS EXP AS WELL. 

The Planner/Scheduler schedules maintenance activities, programs and processes at an assigned plant or production facility. Plans work to minimize impact on production. The Planner/Scheduler is responsible for helping develop and implement continuous improvement processes and KPI's for the maintenance department. The Planner/Scheduler will also manage the spare parts crib to ensure inventory accuracy, place orders for new and replacement parts from purchasing department as needed.

  • Analyzes Maintenance and/or Engineering work requests, job orders and work releases, for clarity as to what is requested. May contact originator to clear up points in question. Work with user/customers to establish priorities
  • Schedules and reviews all work orders and produces a master maintenance schedule
  • Sets and prioritizes work orders according to work order specifications and based on pre-determined criteria; Distributes work orders to maintenance technicians
  • Plans for interruptions in work and develops backup plans to counter act any impact to production
  • Leads the morning planning meeting to go over critical equipment that is down, equipment that needs attention and planned work; Initiate and conduct meetings with maintenance, 3rd party support, and production personnel as required
  • Maintain inventory of equipment, parts, and supplies; Responsible for the ordering, knowledge and whereabouts of the materials needed for planned jobs; May also help expediting material for emergency work
  • Evaluates need for replacement parts and places orders
  • Interact with vendors and contractors to schedule parts deliveries and preventative and repair services
  • Stocks items needed to keep production running smoothly
  • Receives deliveries and verifies accuracy of the delivery against invoice
  • Conducts process inspection, certification, and documentation
  • Coordinates questions and issues with the appropriate department personnel
  • Handles customer complaints or escalates when necessary
  • Ensure all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed before, during, and after the process to foster a positive safety culture by having a safety-first mindset and approach during execution of activities

  • High School Diploma
  • Five years of planning and scheduling experience
  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field required
  • Proven leader and team player with a strong work ethic
  • Must be able to read blueprints, mechanical drawings and welding symbols.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Willing and able to make decisions, exhibit sound and accurate judgment, and make timely decisions
  • Ability to lead people and produce results through others
  • Ability to think ahead and plan for future objectives
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, a focus on accuracy, and a sense of urgency
  • Proficiency in CMMS Software, MS Project, and Microsoft Office software required
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Basic understanding of machinery
  • Strong computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office suite
