The company is an aluminum sand and permanent mold foundry, serving the aerospace, defense, medical equipment and commercial equipment industries. The facility is certified to the AS9100-D, ISO 9001:2015 and NADCAP quality systems and is on the approval lists of many major primes. The inspection department is NADCAP accredited for x-ray and penetrant inspection and has CMM dimensional inspection capabilities. Selected QC personnel are trained and certified to the ASTM, ASNT and military standards.

We're looking for a Tig Welder, will do Tig welding of steel, willing to get you certified in Aluminum and train you in casting, we'd like at least 5 years experience, the target pay rate is $27/hr to $29/hr DOE. MUST have Tig welding experience.

Hours will be 5-6 am – 2:30 pm (normally some OT during the week and some hours on Saturday, expect about 2 Saturdays out of a month.
 

Job Overview

 

The welder shall be a trained welder capable of welding on ferrous and aluminum materials. They are expected to pass applicable Customer and Company specific weld tests, and to weld materials necessary to support Production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Operates equipment and machinery related to assigned area.
  • Performs weld repair of ferrous materials (such as ladles) as well as aluminum castings
  • May perform minor construction such as building storage bins, stockroom shelves, counters, and workbenches using precision hand tools and power tools.
  • Maintains records of repairs.
  • Coordinates the ordering of materials needed for weld repair.

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Technical or trade school preferred

  • Certified welder for ferrous and non-ferrous materials

Experience

  • Five (5) years professional experience in general maintenance, welding, or educational equivalent.
  • Forklift certification/experience preferred (company certification provided)
  • Ability to weld aluminum required
