Hours 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. $15 – $16 hr. (1 needed)
Moves parts from one department to another in accordance with the "Traveler" instruction. Job orders are tracked and organized with the assigned parts. Collects all job orders on the production floor and verifies information for accuracy. Must be able to operate a forklift. 3 yrs experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Excellent attention to detail. Able to multi-task.
Essential Job Duties
- Directly move parts to each department for completion ensuring the processing of the proper paperwork
- Daily rounds begin with delivering parts to Sheet Metal, CNC, Welding, Detailing, and Assembly
- Daily collect all job orders on the production floor and verify information for accuracy
- Continually check each department throughout the day for completion
- Upon completion in detailing, parts are moved to next areas including oven, sheeter, press, and Customer Service.
- Coordinate the travelers and report errors to the Manufacturing Supervisor
- A Quality Discrepancy Report (QDR) is completed for parts that are to be returned to various departments
Other Duties
- Scan jobs into Made2Manage (M2M) system
- Complete special projects as needed for the Production and Planning Office
- Locate missing parts as needed
- May move rollers from Welding to Machine Shop
- Track the parts and paperwork when hot parts have been moved by another employee
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Three years experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to operate forklift preferred
- Must have excellent attention to detail and follow through on all work
- Demonstrated ability to be diplomatic when handling conflicting priorities
- Must be a self-starter and set priorities, be well organized and have excellent time management skills, possess outstanding interpersonal skills and remain calm under pressure
- Must be available to work Saturday rotations
