1st or 2nd Shift! Pay: $21/hr Manufacturing Experience a MUST
With moderate supervision, the Ammonia Technician provides industrial maintenance support to ensure the safe and effective operation of an ammonia refrigeration system in a ready to eat food processing plant. Safety operates and performs a variety of maintenance activities including corrective maintenance, preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance for various industrial systems including but not limited to plant utilities, ammonia refrigeration, HVAC, steam, water, gas, compressed air, and building systems. Must be able to safely apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned facility systems and the ability to effectively interact with all plant personnel to accomplish plant and individual goals.
Perform daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and maintenance activities in a safe and timely manner.
Properly execute established maintenance plan in a safe and timely manner.
Utilize the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to execute and follow-up on maintenance activities including but not limited to inspections, calibrations, repairs and rebuilds.
With assistance develop ability to provide corrective actions to all levels of equipment/system failures utilizing root cause analysis and troubleshooting techniques.
With assistance demonstrate ability to utilize advanced maintenance techniques and tools to assess the health of utility equipment/systems and predict failures before they occur.
Repair and modification of plant utility equipment/systems with precision maintenance techniques as necessary.
Perform all duties in accordance with Process Safety Management (PSM) system and safety policies and procedures.
Identifies and/or corrects potentially hazardous conditions.
Ability to safely operate a forklift.
Works closely with Supervisors to develop opportunities for continuous improvement and implementation of solutions.
Work cooperatively in a maintenance culture that is focused on continuous improvement positive morale and exceptional levels of customer service.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
May sub for shift electricians as directed.
May provide technical direction to electricians and helpers as required.
High School diploma or GED required
2+ years experience operating, maintaining and improving industrial ammonia refrigeration and utility systems
Prior high speed manufacturing experience is a plus
