LARGE MANUFACTURING PLANT IN FT GIBSON IS LOOKING FOR A PROJECT ENGINEERING MANAGER OUT OF FOOD OR BEVERAGE INDUSTRY. LOOKING FOR A STRONG PROJECT MANAGER THAT HAS WORKED ON A LARGE PROJECTS.
SALARY:
$120K-$140K (THE MORE YEARS XP THE CLOSER THEY GET TO TOP END)
BONUS: 15% TARGET BONUS
Position Description
The Project Engineering Manager will be responsible for moderate to complex project planning and execution for various business opportunities. This corporate position oversees projects across multiple manufacturing facilities within the assigned region, managing resources, timelines, and budgets while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Essential Functions:
- Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) while in warehouse or production areas (including but not limited to hairnets/beard nets, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard toe and slip/oil resistant shoes, appropriate safety gloves, and seatbelts while operating forklifts).
- Ensure adherence to food quality and food safety standards as defined by corporate, customer, and governing bodies (e.g., SQF).
- Execute medium to large-scale projects in the region, including line upgrades, process improvements, new product initiatives, and facility expansions.
- Develop regional budgets, write project scopes, manage suppliers, and execute project schedules.
- Assist Plant Managers in developing capital budgets.
- Communicate with all departments to ensure efficient execution of projects.
- Provide technical support and solutions across multiple facilities.
- Maintain engineering documentation for all sites.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental regulatory standards related to projects; investigate and identify root causes of non-compliance.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (production, maintenance, engineering, quality, safety) to ensure smooth project execution.
- Manage contractors, suppliers, and third-party resources.
- Oversee procurement of materials and equipment.
- Facilitate communication between departments to ensure alignment on project goals.

- Knowledge of equipment assembly, automated systems, water processing equipment, and maintenance techniques.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Management, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- PMP certification preferred; Lean or Six Sigma certifications are a plus.
- Advanced proficiency with ability to handle complex assignments and provide technical guidance.
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Background in beverage or packaged goods manufacturing, especially canned products, is preferred.
