LARGE MANUFACTURING PLANT IN TUCKER GA IS LOOKING FOR AN INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN ON THE 1ST SHIFT. LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH 480V, PLCS, VFDS, ETC.

HOURLY RATE: $34.45 

SHIFT: 5AM-130PM WITH OT AS WELL ON WEEKENDS

Job Description:  

  • Performs all functions of the job in a safe manner and promptly reports any unsafe behaviors to the shift supervisor.
  • Reads and works from basic blueprints and drawings to perform maintenance and service, install and/or modify equipment.
  • Reads wiring diagrams and sketches.
  • Possesses sufficient knowledge for correct analysis of mechanical/electrical difficulty and makes necessary corrections.
  • Assembles, dismantles and/or moves any type of equipment using proper tools, rigging and gear.
  • Installs and repairs electrical conduit, connections and splices cable.
  • Uses all types of testing equipment normally used in an industrial setting.
  • Diagnoses both electrical and mechanical problems and develops fastest, low cost options to fix.
  • Is willing and able to instruct, train and direct the efforts of others.
  • Works alone or in cooperation with others and other department to do any work on any plant equipment in the most time and cost efficient manner. 1 Handles all maintenance requests as directed.
  • Performs other related duties consistent with the nature of the job as directed by the supervisor.
  • Willing and able to work any shift, variable start times, overtime,weekends, and holidaysas scheduled
  • Willing and able to work on machinery at various heights
  • Willing and able to work variable shift start.

Qualifications:

Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions
• Must possess strong communication and organizational skills
• Must have the ability to multi-task
• Must have strong internal and external customer service skills
• Must work well in team environment
• Must have the ability to do basic mathematical calculations
• Candidates with a appropriate degree must have a minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Must be certifiable within 90-day probationary period.
• Must be able to complete or oversee project work or craft work when required.
• Must learn new controls technologies and systems as required through out plant.

Education/Experience:

  • Associate or Vocational Degree (or Certificate/Diploma) or High School Diploma or GED and five (5) years of industrial electrical manufacturing experience
  • Experience with 480VAC, 3 phase motor circuits
  • Experience with 120VAC and 12-24DC control circuits
  • Experience reading electrical schematics, P&ID (Process & Instrumentation Diagrams), and mechanical drawings
  • Experience installing industrial electrical equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience installing, examining, replacing, and/or repairing Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) and AC/DC motor controllers
  • Experience with installing conduit
  • Willing and able to provide personal hand tools to include but not limited to: wire cutters, wrenches, screwdrivers, sockets, pliers, etc.
